About Me:

In my professional world, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and owner of Peaceful Presence Therapy and specialize in high conflict couples, domestic violence, and sexual trauma. I guide someone through the process of change and provide the space to allow others to find their voice. I like to describe this as "someone who helps you learn to help yourself". Supplying you with the tools to do the work, I love watching people grow, change, and progress to reach their full potential. With an interest in the dynamics of relationships, communication and language, I enjoy supporting the exploration of past trauma and its impact on our understanding of the present. I am fascinated by how both language and physical actions intertwine with thought and frame our vision of the world. It is rewarding for me when I help people find their true identity, sense of peace, and satisfaction in their relationships. 

Similar to my professional world, I find peace when walking or gardening as it is an individual avenue for me to appreciate growth both in myself and in all living things. My personal world includes a loving husband, a wonderful daughter, and energetic boxer mix. We enjoy hiking, traveling, going to the world famous San Diego Zoo, walks along the beautiful San Diego beaches, and experimenting in the kitchen together. Both my husband and myself come from Mediterranean and Jewish Eastern European households, leaving our kitchen full of stuffed tomatoes and cabbage rolls, borscht, latkas, pate, and many different types of cheeses as well as filled with several languages: English, Greek, Russian, and Yiddish.
